PolyVac

A premium, gloss finish, solvent-based, screen ink

for POLYSTYRENE - including deep-drawn vacuum forming

Summary

PolyVac Screen printing inks are formulated to be suitable for polystyrene in sheet or container form. The inks are fast drying with good screen stability and are tough, resilient and exhibit good gloss when dry.

Drying

PolyVac inks dry by evaporation and will air dry in racks in 5 to 10 minutes. Drying time is reduced through a jet drier.

Thinning

PolyVac thinner B6-91 is recommended with reduction up to 20% For greater screen stability use PolyVac Retarder B6-92. PolyVac fast thinner may be used to speed drying.

Stock

PolyVac inks give excellent adhesion to most grades of polystyrene. The inks can be vacuum formed with deep draw.

Durability

PolyVac inks are designed to be durable for up to three years when used outdoors, depending on conditions. All pigments used in the range have lightfastness of at least 7 on the Blue Wool Scale.

Coverage

An estimated coverage of approximately 25 m2/kg can be obtained with PolyVac inks, provided standard recommendations for reducer and mesh are followed.
